1911-ben a norv\u00e9g felfedez\u0151, Roald Amudsen \u00e9s a brit Robert Scott vil\u00e1gh\u00edr\u0171 versenyre indultak az \u00c9szaki sark fel\u00e9. Amundsen \u00e9s n\u00e9gy t\u00e1rsa december 14-\u00e9n \u00e9rkezett a c\u00e9lhoz, 5 h\u00e9ttel ellenfeleik el\u0151tt. Scott, csapat\u00e1val egy\u00fctt \u00e9let\u00e9t vesztette a hazafel\u00e9 vezet\u0151 \u00faton.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A brit \u00e9szakkutat\u00f3, Maria Leijerstram m\u00e1r megtette ezt az utat: 2013-ban lett az els\u0151 ember, aki \u00e1ttekert Antarktik\u00e1n \u00e9s eljutott a Sarkra. \u00d6sszesen 55 kg-t nyomott a bringa \u00e9s a s\u00e1torb\u00f3l, h\u00e1l\u00f3zs\u00e1kb\u00f3l \u00e9s \u00e9lelmiszerb\u0151l \u00e1ll\u00f3 felszerel\u00e9s. 10-17 \u00f3r\u00e1t tekert naponta, pihen\u0151nap n\u00e9lk\u00fcl, \u00edgy hamarabb \u00e9rte el az \u00c9szaki Sarkot, mint el\u0151tte b\u00e1rki.
