La idea no era mala, pero necesitaba<a href=\"https:\/\/www.madridcriterium.com\/es\/\"> nombres para enganchar a la afici\u00f3n madrile\u00f1a,<\/a> sobre todo si sal\u00eda un d\u00eda lluvioso y fr\u00edo, como as\u00ed fue. El cabeza de cartel era Tadej Pogacar, quiz\u00e1s el ciclista con m\u00e1s seguidores y menos detractores (que ahora hay mucho hater en redes) a su lado la nueva hornada espa\u00f1ola, con Ayuso, Carlos Rodr\u00edguez, Ra\u00fal Garc\u00eda Pierna y Juanpe L\u00f3pez, veteranos como Ion Izaguirre, Luis Le\u00f3n S\u00e1nchez o Marc Soler y una treintena de ciclistas espa\u00f1oles de equipos continentales. Funcion\u00f3. Y parece que ha llegado para quedarse.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>La idea del <strong>Madrid Criterium<\/strong> se le ocurri\u00f3 a Unidad Editorial Sports&amp;Events, que es parte grupo RCS italiano, organizador del Giro de Italia y due\u00f1o de medios como La Gazzetta dello Sport, Marca o El Mundo. Para llevarla a cabo necesitaba el apoyo indispensable del Ayuntamiento de Madrid, hab\u00eda que cortar La Castellana, aunque solo fuese un kil\u00f3metro <strong>entre Col\u00f3n y Emilio Castelar.<\/strong> No solo lo consigui\u00f3, sino que el consistorio lo aprovech\u00f3 para fomentar el uso de la bici el\u00e9ctrica y el transporte p\u00fablico. Almeida, el alcalde, incluso pedale\u00f3 el domingo con una BiciMad junto a\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.welovecycling.com\/es\/2022\/07\/11\/la-debilidad-de-pogacar\/\">Tadej Pogacar<\/a> por el circuito antes de que empezasen las carreras de los profesionales.\u00a0 No fueron los \u00fanicos en pedalear. El programa de actos del domingo arranc\u00f3 con la prueba infantil de relevos y ciclismo adaptado, despu\u00e9s la marcha Women in Bike y a las 12:00, justo cuando ca\u00edan las primeras gotas, empezaron las dos carreras de los 36 ciclistas profesionales y cinco \u00e9lites invitados al Criterium.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"es\">Los ciclistas del <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MadridCriterium?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@MadridCriterium<\/a> ya est\u00e1n de camino al paseo de la Castellana. La \u00e9lite del ciclismo mundial se da cita esta ma\u00f1ana en Madrid.<\/p>\n<p>\u00bfTe vienes? El <strong>Madrid Criterium<\/strong> sobre todo buscaba acercar a los ciclistas profesionales al aficionado. Durante la competici\u00f3n, cuando el corredor solo piensa en ir lo m\u00e1s r\u00e1pido posible, comer y descansar, el fan pasa a un segundo plano, solo cuando hay tiempo o la etapa del d\u00eda es relajada. Por eso el s\u00e1bado organiz\u00f3 el en Hotel NH Eurobuilding una firma d<strong>e aut\u00f3grafos con todas las estrellas a la que acudieron casi un millar de amantes del ciclismo<\/strong>. <strong>El selfie con Pogacar<\/strong> fue la foto m\u00e1s movida en los grupos de whatsapp de los clubes madrile\u00f1os el fin de semana.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Pogacar y Ayuso<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>La competici\u00f3n del<strong> Madrid Criterium<\/strong> estaba dividida en dos sectores propios de la pista, por un lado la prueba de <strong>eliminaci\u00f3n<\/strong>, en la que cada vuelta al circuito dejaba fuera de la carrera a los dos \u00faltimos y la de <strong>puntuaci\u00f3n<\/strong>, en la que se sumaban puntos cada cinco vueltas en la que el vencedor era el que pasaba primero por la l\u00ednea de meta. Un estilo de &#8216;carrera&#8217; que se suele utilizar en los criterium post Tour que se organizan en B\u00e9lgica y Holanda, o los de final de temporada que &#8216;monta&#8217; el Tour de Francia en Saitama. Una tradici\u00f3n que permit\u00eda a los corredores de los a\u00f1os 50, 60 y 70 aumentar sus ganancias despu\u00e9s de la Grande Boucle y que explicaban por qu\u00e9 ciclistas como <strong>Bahamontes<\/strong> se centraban en ganar el maillot de la monta\u00f1a y se olvidaban de la general. Ese &#8216;trofeo&#8217; era una invitaci\u00f3n asegurada a los bien pagados Criterium post Tour.<\/p>\n<p>En Espa\u00f1a se estuvieron haciendo en los meses de noviembre y diciembre hasta hace una d\u00e9cada. Sobre todo porque el circuito ten\u00eda dos curvas de 180 grados, que con el asfalto mojado y lleno de pintura lo convert\u00edan en una pista de patinaje. No es la primera vez que un ciclista se deja la piel en un Criterium y sino que se lo pregunten a Carapaz, al que una ca\u00edda en un criterium antes de la Vuelta 2019 al que el Movistar (entonces su equipo) no sab\u00eda que hab\u00eda ido le dej\u00f3 fuera de carrera. Quiz\u00e1s por eso el equipo navarro veta a sus corredores en este tipo de eventos.<\/p>\n<p>La eliminaci\u00f3n fue para <strong>Juan Ayuso, que gan\u00f3 al sprint a Jonhatan Lastra<\/strong>, que deja el Caja Rural para correr en el Cofidis. Antes se hab\u00edan bajado <strong>Pogacar y Luis Le\u00f3n S\u00e1nchez<\/strong>. Y en la vuelta anterior Ion Izaguirre y Marc Brustenga. Todos., despu\u00e9s de estar eliminados, al m\u00e1s puro estilo triatl\u00f3n o Sepp Kuss en el Acebo en La Vuelta 2019, chocando la mano con los aficionados.<\/p>\n<p>En la de puntaci\u00f3n hubo un poco para todos. Escapada con ciclistas de los equipos continentales. Sum\u00f3 puntos Barcel\u00f3, del Caja Rural, pero las metas volantes se las llev\u00f3 Christian Rodr\u00edguez, del Total Energies. Control\u00f3 el UAE con Ayuso y Soler para que acabase atacando Pogacar y entrase solo en meta.
