La incertidumbre marca ahora mismo al ciclismo y a sus equipos. En una temporada normal a estas alturas (mes de marzo) el gran problema log\u00edstico ser\u00eda organizar a ciclistas, auxiliares, mec\u00e1nicos y veh\u00edculos en dos o tres pa\u00edses diferentes para disputar desde Mil\u00e1n San Remo a las Cl\u00e1sicas belgas, las francesas o alguna carrera de \u00faltima hora en los Emiratos \u00c1rabes. Vuelos, traslados y hoteles.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sin embargo el dichoso virus ha hecho que todo esto se pare y que el gran problema ahora sea como conseguir que la temporada no se vaya al traste. Pero vamos a los datos y a ver, con el ejemplo del Deceuninck Quick Step,<\/a>\u00a0una aut\u00e9ntica multinacional con intereses en todo el planeta, como se organizaba hasta ahora una temporada ciclista desde el punto de visa de la log\u00edstica.<\/p>\n

En primer lugar, un equipo World Tour como el Deceuninck, con 26 ciclistas en la plantilla, necesita 25 coches y 7 veh\u00edculos pesados<\/strong> (buses y camiones) para disputar 272 d\u00edas de competici\u00f3n, repartidos en 79 carreras en 20 pa\u00edse<\/strong>s diferentes y recorrer, en total, la cifra de 325.000 kil\u00f3metros. Casi nada.\u00a0 Pero claro, para atender todo esto el equipo necesita alrededor a 55 personas que hacen desde las labores de oficina y marketing a directores, entrenadores, m\u00e9dicos, nutricionistas, mec\u00e1nicos, masajistas, conductores….

\nOtra de las cifras que suelen impresionar es la utilizaci\u00f3n de los productos relacionados con el ciclismo. En el apartado de alimentaci\u00f3n hacen falta 27.000 bidones<\/strong> con alimento o liquido, m\u00e1s 12.500 geles y 14.000 barritas<\/strong>, todo ello organizado en 2000 bolsas de avituallamiento.<\/p>\n

En el apartado de equipaciones<\/strong> hay que tener en cuenta que el ciclista siempre tiene que llegar a la salida con la ropa impulota, igual que las bicicletas y todos los materiales y veh\u00edculos del equipo. Hay que dar imagen de marca y eso es importantismo para todos los patrocinadores. Por eso al cabo del a\u00f1o el Deceuninck utiliz\u00f3 350 monos de contrarreloj, 500 culottes, 750 maillots, 180 cascos y 2500 gorras<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Las grandes mimadas en un equipo ciclistas, aparte de los propios corredores, claro, son las bicicletas. Para que te puedas hacer una idea. Cada d\u00eda, el ciclista pr\u00e1cticamente estrena bicicleta. No una m\u00e1quina nueva, claro, pero si perfectamente engrasada<\/strong> y con cualquiera de los componentes que puedan tener un m\u00ednimo desgaste, cadenas, tubulares, discos, ruedas, zapatas de freno… nuevos. La mec\u00e1nica jam\u00e1s puede echar por los suelos una temporada de preparaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

En total por las manos de los mec\u00e1nicos del Deceuninck Quick Step pasaron 280 Specialized,<\/strong> ya sean Tarmac o Venge, m\u00e1s de 400 pares de ruedas, 600 cadenas y 300 grupos completos Shimano para equiparlas.<\/p>\n

Y claro, para llevar adelante todo esos gastos, a los que hay que unir sueldos, vuelos, noches de hotel, concentraciones… al equipo adem\u00e1s de un s\u00f3lido presupuesto le hacen falta proveedores que le surtan material a precios muy bajos o incluso de forma gratuita a cambio de la publicidad de verse unidos a un conjunto que en 2019 bati\u00f3 el r\u00e9cord de victorias.<\/p>\n

Por eso entre la n\u00f3mina de principales sponsors estan Specialized (bicicletas), Lidl y Crivit Pro (proveedor de alimentos y de ropa deportiva)\u00a0 y Vermac (ropa ciclista). De co-esponsors, Shimano (grupos par la bici) Retul (biomec\u00e1nica), Tacx (Rodillos), Oakley (gafas), 6D (comida ciclista) o Coca Cola.\u00a0 Y de patrocinadores oficiales la ruedas Roval, las herramientas Unioa, las medias de compresi\u00f3n Compressport, la crema QM Sports, los portagps K-Edege o las roldanas de CeramicSpeed.<\/p>\n

Pese a todo, el presupuesto final se marcha casi siempre por encima de los 10 millones de euros cada temporada.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
