Healthy Breakfast – Advice from a Nutritionist with a QUIZ

By Jiri Kaloc

Is breakfast the most important meal of the day? Should you eat fortified cereal with low-fat milk or bacon and eggs? There’s a lot of info online about what constitutes a healthy breakfast. Let’s take a closer look at the first meal of the day.

If you’re interested in healthy eating you probably heard a lot about how to start your day. Some people say you should keep fasting if you’re not hungry some say that a good breakfast is essential. There’s some truth to both approaches but it all depends on where you currently are with your understanding of nutrition.

My Advice: Have a regular breakfast

Those who have a good understanding of nutrition can experiment with breakfasts to see if maybe their individual needs and lifestyle will be better served without it. But if you’re a beginner or just unsure what’s right for you, you will benefit greatly from having a regular breakfast. If your body gets some good nutrition every day at roughly the same time it will be much easier to do the rest of the day right too. What foods to choose and which ones to avoid will be the topic of the following articles so check back next week!
