Vintage Cycling Stamps: You Might Have a Forgotten Treasure at Home

By Monica Buck

With the rapid growth of postal service in the late nineteenth century, stamp collecting became one of the most popular hobbies in the world. The never ending stream of new ones made it certain that no person would ever finish his/her collection and each country, till this day, continues to fuel this phenomenon with releasing more and more new unique sets. Naturally, riding a bike has been portrayed many times on stamps and we picked some of our favourites which mark the biggest events in the history of our beloved sport.
